House Rules
● Smoking is not allowed in the house or on the porch.
● No pets allowed
From the Palmetto Bay Homeowners Association, welcome to our eco-friendly community; we hope you enjoy your stay! We are not a resort but a neighborhood of private residences, some of which are occupied by full time residents and others which are rented. Please keep this in mind to support your enjoyment and that of your neighbors.
● When entering or exiting Palmetto stop and roll down vehicle windows so Security sees your driver.
● Palmetto Bay has been historically very safe. You will notice uniformed Security guards patrolling the property 24/7. As you would anywhere, we recommend you lock your doors and secure valuables. A safe is located in the closet of bedroom 2.
● Respect our 20 km/hour speed limit and enjoy the view while driving slowly.
● If you move beach or pool loungers, please return them when you leave the area.
● Clean up after yourselves when in common areas; unlike a hotel, we don't have staff to pick up after others.
● Observe our 10pm - 7am quiet time. Outdoor speakers that can be heard by neighbors are never allowed.
● Parties are not allowed at rental homes, but advise Security of expected guests at the main gate +504 9765-8721
● The dive shop, home rental office and restaurant are independently operated businesses; they’ll take great care of you!
● Household plastics and metal cans should be recycled at the barrels between the dive shop and bar, at ground level.
● Trash should be bagged and taken to the corral of cans near the main gate. Please flatten cardboard and ensure that the trash cans AND the trash cabinets are securely closed so that animals do not disturb.
● Trash is a problem on any island; consider taking empty sunscreen or insect repellent containers, etc. home with you.
● Island plumbing is sensitive; only flush what your body has produced.
● For the safety of your pet and those around you, dogs should be on a leash. Please do not feed stray cats and dogs.
● Stray animals are an island problem - you can help by looking for the R.O.A.R donation box near the bar.
